Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteer at Mass:

• Greeter: Greet parishioners and visitors and distribute bulletins at the end of Mass; count of people who attend Mass (a counter is provided)
• Altar Server: Assist the priest during the celebration of Mass
• Offertory Collection Leader: Recruit people to take up the collection, individuals to bring up the gifts, and put the collection away
• Lector: Proclaim the Sacred Scriptures
• Sacristan: Setting up the necessary items for the celebration of Mass
• Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion: Assist with the distribution of Holy Communion at Mass

Other Volunteer Opportunities:

• Adult Faith Formation Leaders: Facilitate small group gatherings (Sunday Scriptures, book studies, spiritual programs, etc.)
• Baptism Team Member: Lead baptism preparation class with another team member (training provided)
• Parish Life Commission: Help plan social and fellowship events for the parish
• Welcome Committee: Be part of a team who welcomes all new parishioners.
• Environment Committee: Help create a sacred environment at St. Bartholomew and St. Maximilian Kole Churches by assisting with decorating for the various liturgical seasons.
• Social Justice & Peace Commission: Serve those in need through education and action
• Parish Mission Team: Assist in planning and implementing our Parish Mission
• Garden of Eaten
• Office Volunteers: Help with mailings, filing, and special projects
• Facilities Volunteers: Assist the facilities staff with special projects, painting, or other handyman tasks
